E.S.A.A. CROSS-COUNTRY CUP FINAL 2009
Newquay Tretherras School Saturday 5th December
This is the first of three major schools cross-country events in Cornwall this winter.
The 29th E.S.A.A. Cross-Country Cup Final is being hosted by Newquay Tretherras School, who are highly committed to sport and regularly have teams reaching the Final. This venue has been used for cross-country events for many years ranging from Primary Schools up to Senior level competition.
A check through previous winners lists will remind all that Penair School, Truro have an outstanding record in these Championships and it is therefore most appropriate that the event is being held in the Duchy.
Our thanks to Mrs.S.Martin, Headteacher of Tretherras and the staff of the school and Newquay Sports Centre and to all officials who have volunteered to help. Special thanks to Richard Higginson (Co-ordinator) and the Organising Committee (Jane Hurlley, John Scott, Steve Woodfinden, Chris McQuillen-Wright and Paul Manning) who have worked tirelessly for the past eighteen months to ensure the success of the Cup Final.
We are hoping that some of our Cornish Schools will qualify for the Final. Come along and give them your support!
